 MONDAY NIGHT MEDLEY 2014

Catechists:

I would like you to take a look at the  “Monday Night Medley” series for catechist certification. It is presented over six weeks by some of the best speakers in the archdiocese. This module is about Revelation Through Scripture and Tradition. If you attend all six sessions, you receive 10 hours toward your certification as a catechist.

I hope that you consider registering for the six sessions. St. Francis will pay the fees for any catechist who wishes to attend.

Certification addresses the areas of our doctrine, faith and tradition that we should know as catechists working with our children, youth and adults. I encourage you to attend.

Thank you,
Mary Kay

Please be sure to read the PARENT HANDBOOK before your child's first session, and return the PARENT AGREEMENT with your youngest child. Any questions can be directed to the RE Office (708) 460-0155.

SECURITY PROCEDURES UPDATE

 IMPORTANT TRAFFIC REMINDER

PARENTS: PLEASE STAY OFF YOUR CELLPHONE DURING DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP!

STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE at all times.

There is only ONE LANE IN EITHER DIRECTION.

If traffic is lined up for pick-up, please wait in line until you can turn into the parking area safely. This is especially important during winter months of snow and ice when the roads are slick, and space in the lot is compromised.

THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF OUR CHILDREN IS OUR ONLY CONCERN!

 Journey in Faith

Our faith journey begins at baptism. Parents are the first catechists for their children. In our religious education program we continue what began at Baptism and, along with our faith families, help our children build religious foundation that will continue throughout their lives. By working in small faith groups, our catechists and children build small faith communities together.

We connect those small faith communities with the larger faith community of the parish by celebrating  Sunday Mass together and by attending our Grade Level Mass sessions. It is a family journey, a sharing of our faith and the rich traditions that have been celebrated by Catholics for over 2000 years.

Explore our website for information, and other helpful supplements to our regular RE sessions. There are a variety of site links available to develop and nurture your faith as a family or as a parishioner. Please visit our site often.
