The Sacraments

The life of the Church revolves around the sacraments, with the Eucharist at the center. The Church celebrates seven sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Marriage and Holy Orders.

The sacramental life of our parish is important. We take seriously the preparation for and celebration of each of the sacraments. In these pages you will find guidelines and specifics for the celebration of each sacrament.

For information regarding the first reception of the sacraments for children please visit our Religious Education Pages.

"The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church, by which divine life is dispensed to us. The visible rites by which the sacraments are celebrated signify and make present the graces proper to each sacrament. They bear fruit in those who receive them with the required dispositions." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1131)
