Ministry of Praise

Purpose of the Ministry of Praise
To form a spiritual ministry in which members offer their prayers, joys, sacrifices and sufferings to God for the needs of the parish and of the universal church.

Requirements
Ministers of Praise promise to pray and offer their sacrifices and sufferings - as well as joys - for the parish and for the universal church.  Ministers of Praise agree to be formally mandated to this ministry.

Mandated Ministers of Praise
  • Receive a certificate of ministry signed by the parish pastor.
  • Receive a book of suggested prayers and a cross.
  • Are never asked to attend meetings.

The pastor or designated parish staff member sends all ministers of praise a letter each month naming specific prayer intentions for that month. All parishioners are assured of being prayed for daily.

"How powerful prayer is!  May we never lose the courage to say, 'Lord, give us your peace'.
Prayer, humility, and charity toward all are essential in the Christian life:  they are the way to holiness."

~ Pope Francis

Sign-up
Our Mission ~ The St. Francis of Assisi community is a welcoming Christian family.  We believe in Jesus Christ, and are guided by the Holy Spirit and the example of St. Francis.  We gather to celebrate, to grow in the knowledge of our faith rooted in the Catholic tradition, and to recognize our responsibility to reach out to the world.
